Gideon Announces for President PDF Print E-mail
Written by Marietta Sinclair, Editor in Chief

Solace Creek, Colorado - Colorado Representative Em Gideon yesterday announced his candidacy for President in the 2008 elections.  Called an extremist by many, this newspaper included, Gideon's WebSpeech ranted about immigration as usual, but added a new twist.  In addition to closing the borders, he seeks immediate deportation of all aliens who serve no economic purpose.  He also surprised us -- NOT --  with the announcement that his candidacy was being backed by Acolytica and Evangelical Crossway.  What is surprising is that he had the temerity to make the following statement.

"Language is being formulated as I speak that will slightly modify the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.  Only a few words, unnecessary for our current world, will be removed.  Congress will have the power to legislate a Government of Faith.  Congress will have the power to legislate against those who speak out against our Government and our business leaders to the detriment of ALL AMERICAN CITIZENS."

A complete text of the WebSpeech appears below.

My Fellow Americans -- that sounds trite, doesn't it.  But you must know that when I say it, I speak from the heart.  We are living in challenging times, Americans are despised and hated in many parts of the world.  American corporations are struggling against the German and Japanese industrial giants.  American citizens, yes, citizens are exacerbating the problems with publications, and vocalizations critical to both the American Government, and American Business.

What right to ordinary citizens have to speak against the actions of the American intelligence community, and the steadfast and great American military?  What right do ordinary citizens have to speak against the corporations that feed us all?  Yes, there have been some villians at the top in recent years, but they have been dealt with.  Yes, some of our companies have turned their heads on freedom and human rights to enter lucrative global markets.  But I can assure you, my fellow Americans, that all of this is for our long-term benefit.

Strong business makes for a strong America.  Toughness, and sometimes callousness are necessary for our mutual survival.

On the world front, we face enemies every day that are united and charged by strong theocratic governments, while we wallow in a mismash of unorganized, uncoordinated beliefs.  How can we maintain our strength and values if they are to allowed to remain so diverse?

To these ends, our Party, in cooperation with the leadership of the Acolytican Church and Evangelical Crossway are moving forward with two major changes.  Some may think these changes radical, extreme, some even may put them in the category of insanity.  However, for a strong America, for a lasting America, they are necessary.

Language is being formulated as I speak that will slightly modify the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.  Only a few words, unnecessary for our current world, will be removed.  Congress will have the power to legislate a Government of Faith.  Congress will have the power to legislate against those who speak out against our Government and our business leaders to the detriment of ALL AMERICAN CITIZENS.

Secondly, in a long-range strategy to strenghthen the core population of Americans, Congress will have to power to enact rigid and immediate immigration constraints.  These constraints are designed to protect the American economy and the American Way of Life.  They will include the immediate sealing of American borders, and immediate deporation of those who do not contribute significantly to the American economy.

Thank you for your attention and interest,

Thaddeus Emory Gideon
US Representative and Candidate for President
